The KR Labs engineering team is looking for an experienced software engineer with a background in NLP and/or machine learning to take on the role of NLP research engineer and work on our core open-source libraries. The work will be in the context of the research project VerbatimKG, funded by the Vienna Business Agency and carried out in partnership with the WU Semantic Systems Group. The project’s goal is to expand the capabilities of VerbatimRAG to knowledge graphs, and will involve using and enhancing the RuleChef methodology to learn rule-based text-to-triplet models.
Key facts about this opportunity
- The position is remote, but based in Vienna, and includes regular meetings with our partners at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), as well as occasional travel to our Budapest office (max. twice per quarter).
- The work is coding-heavy, solid programming background is required. You will be part of the core engineering team that builds our open-source technology.
- The work is also research-heavy, and participating in a PhD program alongside is encouraged (but not required).
- The minimum wage for this full-time position in accordance with the collective agreement is EUR 45.738 gross per year, but your actual salary can exceed this amount, we are happy to discuss the details.
