Medior AI/ML Engineer

KR Labs is growing its AWS Delivery team, and we’re looking for a Medior AI/ML Engineer to help us build and ship practical AI solutions for our clients from early prototypes to real, working production systems.

About the role

You’ll take ownership of your own piece of client projects: building data pipelines and AI-powered features in Python, and helping turn early prototypes into reliable systems people actually use. You’ll work on things like automated text/document processing, AI chatbots and assistants built on LLMs, and services that pull the right information out of large amounts of data.

What you’ll do

• Design and build Python data-processing services and ETL/data pipelines that feed AI/ML workloads
• Implement LLM-powered features (RAG pipelines, conversational interfaces, summarization, API-based automation) using AWS Bedrock and modern LLM tooling
• Build and tune retrieval components and verify they perform reliably
• Test and validate system outputs as a standard part of delivery: accuracy checks and regression tests on behavior
• Deploy and operate services on AWS (Lambda, S3, API Gateway, Step Functions; containers on ECS/Fargate where needed) using IaC (Terraform/CDK)
• Contribute to solution architecture and technical scoping on engagements, under senior/lead direction
• Work to delivery standards: code review, testing, documentation, and clean hand-offs to partners and clients

What you bring

• 2–4 years of experience building and shipping real software with Python, ideally involving data or AI work (or a strong portfolio that proves the same skills)
• A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or similar - or a solid public portfolio (open-source work, real projects) that shows you know your stuff
• Comfortable working with data: cleaning it, structuring it, storing it, and building APIs around it
• Hands-on experience building features with AI language models - you’ve connected an AI model to real data and cared about getting the answers right
• Practical experience deploying and running AWS services
• Professional working English, spoken and written

Nice to have

• Prior consulting/agency/client-delivery experience
• A track record of taking PoCs to production
• AWS certification (Cloud Practitioner, AI or ML Associate) or willingness to certify
• Experience with popular AI-development frameworks and databases built for AI search
• Experience with containerization, orchestration and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Hungarian or German language skills
